Correspondence from Czech Fremdarbeiter / foreign worker in Gemeinschaftslager Neuenwege, Varel, Oldenburg. With ten cards from and one card to the camp. A bit worn, as per scans. There are ca 4000 forced laborers in several camps in Varel during the war: Moorhausener Weg 2 (Reichsbahnlager, 120 people in a farm seized from the Jewish family Wolf), Alten Warf 23 (550 people), Buschgastweg 16 (80 People); between Leistweg and the current highway parkinglot was Barackenlager Hoefers, 120 people; at the airport in Friedrichsfeld was a Zwangsarbeiterlager, and one at the former Autofactory (in Neuenwege) [source Nordwest Zeitung online, Sept 23, 2009.]

Rare cover from inmate at Konzentrationslager (KL) Mittelbau Dora, on Concentration Camp Weimar Buchenwald camp stationery. A bit worn, top condition for one of these, as per scans, with camp censor. Dora prisoners had to use the undercover address of Buchenwald, Block 17, to hide their actual location. With long contents in German on camp stationery (censored), plus another sheet of paper with contents in Czech -- not sure if the Czech paper was sent or not (it wasn't legal), but is included.
