Original autograph letter (ALS) from Charles Theodore of Bavaria, Count Palatine, as Duke of Juelich and Berg, and as Prince-Elector, Duke of Bavaria from 1777 until his death in 1799. Charles was a member of the House of Palatinate-Sulzbach, a branch of the House of Wittelsbach. Signed simply as Charles Theodore. An interesting tidbit from Wikipedia: Karlsplatz in Munich is named after Charels Theodore, and it was during his reign that the English Garden was established in Munich.
