Multipage, half-folio (ca20x32cm) Imperial decree from Empress Maria Theresia -- by God's grace Roman Caesar (Kaiserinn), Queen of Germany, Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia and Lodomerien (now part of Poland and Ukraine), Dalmatia, Croatia, Slovenia, Grand Duchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy and Lothringen / Lorraine, Grand Duchess of Tuscany, etc. An historic document observing that there are numerous types of medical con artists (one of the several types mentioned is Quacksalber == charlatan, from which I guess our usage of the term 'Quack' derives) and requiring that anyone practicing medicine have a university degree and be licensed by the crown. A remarkably modern-thinking decree -- I don't know when you had to be licensed to be a doctor in the USA, but I know it wasn't as early as 1773.

Folded and a bit worn as per scan.

A bit worn as per scan. Punishments for deserting soldiers and aiders of such.

MNH savings savings stamp for use in Litzmannstadt, which became infamous as home of one of the largest Jewish Ghettos in German-occupied WWII Poland. Litzmannstadt was the short-lived name of this city formerly and once again Polish Lodz.

Regarding the Austrian/german rights of succession following the death of ethnic Czechs, Hungarians, or Illyrians (part of Dalmatian coast and Balkans).
