Leichenschauschein / Death Notice for an inmate in Konzentrationslager (KZ/KL) / Concentration Camp Mauthausen. The cause of death of the poor man is given as 'a weak heart' and his sickness is noted as 'a weak constitution'. Signed by an SS Oberstuermbanfuehrer. An early notice, less than a year after the opening of the camp.

Kartenbrief / folded stationery cover from inmate in Concentration Camp Moringen, aka SS Sonderlager Moringen Jugendschutzlager. Very rare cover from a tiny camp made to house and punish disaffected youth -- "Swing Kids" who danced to Jazz music, actual criminals, and those associated with partisan activities in occupied countries. "Moringen became the first juvenile camp where prisoners were assigned to barracks based on their biological characteristics according to Robert Ritter's theory of race hygiene." [Wikipedia] Those deemed unable to progress through the Moringen system were sterilized and/or deported to other concentration camps for further 'education' or elimination. Lohrdahl rarity 10+, his rarest designation.

Registered Feldpost cover with the fee paid through cash (Feldpost was free, registered was not) from Kommandatur Konzentrationslager KZ/KL / Command of Concentration Camp Mauthausen and sent through St Georgen / Gusen. Rare Einschrieben / registered KL cover with Postgebuehr bar bezahlt / postage fee cash paid markings. This one is especially singular in that it was used so early: the construction of the camp only began on August 9, 1938 (see Wikipedia), so his was sent about 6 weeks after the first prisoners from Dachau started working on the facility.
