Freiheit-Ehre / Freedom and Honor: ultra-rare card from SA Sturmbann III/129. According to the catalog from the long-time leading German postcard auction company Raith (now sadly defunct), they auctioned the first know example of this card a few years ago. Here is number two. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has ever seen this card in person. Barely worn at edges, absolutely excellent condition. Try to find a nicer one! (or one at all)

Scarce, original, period postcard from Cassel at the start of the Revolutionary period after the Kaiser abdicated at the end of WWI, when the Communists (Usually called Spartakisten or Spartacists, but really meaning any left-leaning group) seized power in a number of cities (so-called Spartakus Putsch), only to be deposed by right-wing counter-revolutions and/or the newly forming national government, with the help of volunteer 'Freikorps', or Free Corps fighters. With Arbeiter u[nd] Soldatenrat cachet from one of the idealistic and short lived Communistic "Worker's and Soldier's Councils" formed primarily from the disillusioned sailors from the Kaiser's Navy, along with fellow travelers from the ranks of soldiers and workers. Very scarce - most of these poor buggers ended up shot, jailed, or later oppressed by the right-wing which took over Germany in the 1930's.
