Feldpost cover from inspector with Feldpostleitstelle 527
Soldier's cover from late in the war, part of an advanced collection of only *1945* feldpost. From member of Gendarmerie Bataillon 6, sent home to his wife in St Marien, Austria, at this time under control of the Allies. With Allied Military censor handstamp to the left of the feldpost cancel. Very rough and worn condition, as one would expect, going through the battle lines.
Original pass to speak with a prisoner -- two females (wife and daughter) visiting Herr (Karl?) Israel Fischer -- his name having the artificial but legally required 'Israel' middle name inserted.
SS Feldpost cover from member of SS Polizei Einsaztkommando Buerger, an anti-partisan unit operating in the Ukraine and then in Italy. Anfang 1944 wurde das Einsatzkommando nach Oberitalien Mitte verlegt und zur Bekaempfung der italienischen Widerstandsbewegung eingesetzt." - The "Special Operations Command Buerger" was responsible for the mass murder of Soviet citizens and the utter destruction of villages and small towns in the Ukraine. Official cover from the Praes.k.Kreisgericht Berlin / Presidential Court Berlin, dated May 8, 1867. Front of the cover has a handstamp from TOTENMEISTEREI DK KREIS[GERICHT] BERLIN Flindt. Inside the document it is signed with three XXXs and witnessed. I can;t find a translation for Totenmeisterei (Literally: Death Master) -- I'm guessing executioner? Or coroner? I would like a definitive translation from a native German. Very worn, interesting official document.
