A correspondence group of 19 items (17 covers, all but one with contents, plus two loose letters) from an SS officer -- first as Unter and then as Ober-Sturmfuehrer. These are very interesting, particularly as a group, because of the different postings and the timeframe -- from 1938 to 1944. There are several different SS units represented, from the Dachau posting, SS Abschnitt XXXII in Augsburg, and postings in Koenigsberg, Freising, Berlin. Since there are so many different units, and as he was attached to a Lehrgang in Dachau, I'm wondering if he was some sort of trainer. The last covers we have are from his service in the 12 Panzer Division (Hitler Jugend). In addition to the open addresses listed above, the feldpost numbers represented are as follows: 31768 (8.
