Original Feldpost / sailor's mail from WWII Unterseeboot (U-Boot) / submarine U-1277. The crew of this sub either didn't get the surrender notice or ignored it, continuing their patrol until June 3, 1945, when they scuttled their ship off of Portugal. With typewritten contents "On Board... we feel fresh and sprightly...my motto for 1945 is: humor is laughing despite everything. It will take more than this to finish me off [Unkraut geht nicht]"
