Vorphila / pre-philatelic stampless folded cover with contents sent from Havana to New York via Charleston, South Carolina, USA forwarding agent C. Edmunston and Co., with their red octagon handstamp reverse, as well as a red Charleston CDS and "SHIP" cancel. A bit worn, folded, just starting to separate on one fold, as per scans. Great piece for the Southern collector.
