Incoming British airmail cover from expedited through the Austrian Rohrpost / pneumatic mail system of underground tubes around Wien / Vienna to Else Freund, in Vienna. Worn, wrinkled, Bedarfserhaltung / commercially used condition, as per scan; these were generally folded to fit in the small Rohrpost cartridges. With Wien Flugpost and Telegraphenamt Rohrpost receivers reverse. From the correspondence of one of the exceedingly unfortunate Jewish families in 1940's Vienna.
