Zeppelin illustrated airmail cover flown on the Hindenburg Zeppelin LZ129 airship's 1936 2nd Nordamerikafahrt / North American Flight with 17.5.36 2. Fahrt Bordpost / On-board cancel. Michel states: 'Until now only 18.5, 19.5 and 20.5 plus 21.5 being the most common'. The date is the first day of the outgoing flight, with mixed USA franking for the return to Germany (also uncatalogued). Slightly worn, good condition, as per scans. Rare in such an unusual combination of date + franking.
