Correspondence from Czech Fremdarbeiter / foreign worker in Gemeinschaftslager Neuenwege, Varel, Oldenburg. With ten cards from and one card to the camp. A bit worn, as per scans. There are ca 4000 forced laborers in several camps in Varel during the war: Moorhausener Weg 2 (Reichsbahnlager, 120 people in a farm seized from the Jewish family Wolf), Alten Warf 23 (550 people), Buschgastweg 16 (80 People); between Leistweg and the current highway parkinglot was Barackenlager Hoefers, 120 people; at the airport in Friedrichsfeld was a Zwangsarbeiterlager, and one at the former Autofactory (in Neuenwege) [source Nordwest Zeitung online, Sept 23, 2009.]
